I am trying the Real Cat Anderson Method. It is a new book written by one of Cat's former students. So far it is tough. I am trying to play a whisper soft 2nd line G for 20 minutes. I have gotten the G to speak at a whisper a few times. Which was really cool. The rest of the time it seems like a bunch of noise. Haven't gotten to the enitre 20 minutes in one sitting yet. Gotta work my way up! :)
I will update more often as I progress.
I will also start working on Jazz Improv today. Gotta get the scales down still!!
Out of curiosity, how is the method coming for you? I'm thinking of buying his book, but the website just seems really cheesy to me and I hate being scammed.
ReplyDeleteThe Method is very well written. It has great explanations and is worth the money. I am still working on getting the 20 minute G sounding properly, but don't hesitate to purchase the method.
